Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) would like to inform you of the 2nd KIER Energy Eureka Forum, which will be held during UKC 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia. KIER Energy Eureka Forum aims at promoting top-tier creative cutting edge research in the fields of energy efficiency, new and renewable energy, carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS), and marine energy and materials by working with Korean-American scientists and engineers.
Approximately 150 million wons at maximum will be allocated for each project (KIER side 50M wons / US side 100M wons), and KIER's current plan is to award three projects. Last year, three projects were awarded through the 1st KIER Eureka Forum. These projects were awarded to University of North Texas, University of California San Diego, and Washington State University.
This opportunity is open for any Korean-American scientists and engineers who aim for advancing state-of-the-art energy technologies (except for nuclear sector) through KIER’s funding support. The proposal form and the description of KIER's Energy Eureka Forum can be found in the attachments or from the UKC 2015 website http://ukc.ksea.org/UKC2015.
